Last Year I decided to give it a try to work for the BIG 2 against some reservations I had. I did have a good response and made contacts at both DC & Marvel, but ultimately they wanted more samples than I had the time or the desire to produce, but luckily they're now open to my stuff and have been kind enough to look over my non-mainstream stuff. I went about this all wrong, like so many others I fell into the idea of drawing what they would like as opposed to drawing what I would like. I feel these pages are me trying to get a job at Marvel/DC as opposed to good samples of how I enjoy drawing comics. So lesson learned.
I feel these pages are over rendered and a little stilted.
Love it, love the detail and the style. I felt absolutely sucked in by the atmosphere of the city.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
